Dance Floor Decal

8 Jul

How could I have forgotten the wonderful and exciting dance floor decal that we did for B & T!!  The groom, Toon, designed this great dance floor setup. Since there was no area that delineated the dance floor, we added our own!

Four corners and a fun saying in the middle is a great way to outline a dance area when there’s just an expanse of floor.

Stay tuned for some sparkle coming your way!

26 May

What a great surprise to wake up and find one of the weddings we worked on the wonderful Wedding Chicks blog! Our rundown of the details will come soon, but head on over to the Wedding Chicks blog HERE to get a headstart.

Vinyl Accents

10 May

To finish off Brooke & Toon’s wedding, here are all the vinyl elements that rounded out the event. Using a great dresser from Found Vintage Rentals, the seating assignments were placed in frames and instructions were mounted to the mirror.

Directions for the guestbook were placed on the wall of the Pink Room at Smog Shoppe.

As an extra treat for the little guests, birds were placed on the front of mini mailboxes to give them extra personalization.

That’s all for Brooke and Toon. Keep your eyes peeled for some great stuff from Jane and David’s wedding at another funky LA venue, the SLS Hotel!

Printed Kraft Paper Runners

6 May

This past weekend we got to make some fun details for an In The Now event at the quirky LA venue Smog Shoppe. The bride was actually a model from the Serra Plaza event, which is where she was inspired to put a personalized twist on the printed kraft paper runners we did there. We couldn’t wait to put their details up on the blog, so here are some pictures we took with our iPhone.

We printed the table numbers on the blue butcher paper. Love dual purpose items!

We also printed a fun saying for the bar, urging guests to get their drink on!

To keep the kids occupied, since we all know weddings can be immensely boring for them, we used the same blue butcher paper and printed a fun activity runner on it.

Stay tuned for more great details from Brooke and Toon’s big bash!

Banners

31 Dec

To finish off our details from the Serra Plaza Opening Party, we made three banners.

In keeping with the three word phrases used throughout the event, we hung banners from the breezeway letting the guests know where the fashion show was going to take place.

Thanks for checking out this series of posts. We wish you a happy and safe New Year and will see you in 2011!

Printed Kraft Paper Runners

30 Dec

After taking their seats, guests were invited to dine on delicious offerings from four different caterer’s stations. Set up as a sort of marketplace feel, each vendor was given their own “storefront” that they were able to decorate. In keeping with the kraft paper element used throughout the event and to provide cohesion, we printed each vendor’s logo on a kraft paper runner.

Come back tomorrow for our final post for Serra Plaza!

Kraft Paper Runners & Vinyl Accents

29 Dec

Today we are continuing on with more details from the Serra Plaza opening event, and now we are on to the guest tables. In keeping with the phrases, each table had a kraft paper runner with one of the three words “Pick Your Seat” on it.

At each table there was a swingtop bottle full of water that we put vinyl labels on.

And at a few of the place settings we printed a special kraft paper plate wrap.

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more details from this event!

There’s nothing like being seen on the glossy pages of a magazine, and I can’t believe it’s happening to us! We worked on a bridal shower for fab photog Jasmine Star‘s sister Bianca a few months back and it was chosen to be published in the Winter 2011 edition of Inside Weddings.

Vinyl & Kraft Paper Details

28 Dec

After getting their nametags and entering the raffle, guests had a few beverage options.

The bar menu was printed on kraft paper.

They also had a separate juice station where you could add some pizazz to your beverage.

And since it was brunch, you could…

with some coffee from Annabelle’s, who had lots of great options.

Come back tomorrow to see what great details were added to the guest tables!

Vinyl Details – “Pin One On” & “Beat The Odds”

27 Dec

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. This week we will reveal details from the Serra Plaza Event, just as the guests experienced it. As soon as the guests arrived, they were urged to…

Each guest was given a boutonniere to pin on with a kraft printed leaf that had their name on it.

After they checked in, there were Mad Lib style cards that served as the raffle tickets. Once they were filled out, they dropped them into the white vases to try and “Beat The Odds”.

That’s all for today. Tomorrow we’ll see all the beverage options there were!
